After firmly type-casting themselves as offering the museum dial watch and only the museum dial watch, Movado has been relatively successful lately in offering some different (and mostly) appealing designs to mix things up a bit. It is true that for years they have offered other deigns, but the museum dial watch is what seems to define them. So taking the “sun 12 o’clock” indicator and playing around with new designs, Movado has been able to successfully offer a range of “other” watches over the years.
An example is this is the simply named Movado Bold Chronograph. It comes in black and white (possibly a few other colors) . It has the simplicity of the museum dial, with a modern look and more utility. Don’t miss the actual hour markers! The case is 42.5mm wide and comes in a plastic case (OK, “polymer”) that is cheaper than coated steel or ceramic. The movement is a Swiss ETA quartz chronograph, and it comes on a matching leather strap. Price for this quite attractive fashion forward watch is $495.

Bono and his wife did not only appear in the latest Louis Vuitton campaign, now the French luxury brand and their own eco friendly brand Edun have collaborated on the Keepall 45 Travel Duffle Bag. It comes in a brown colorway with some nice added details. All proceeds of the sale of the bags (the bag goes for 4′900 USD) go to the Conservation Cotton Initiative. With the release of the latest collaboration between Sneaker Freaker and Asics getting closer, we get a detailed look at the Gel Lyte 3 “Alvin Purple”. The Australian sneaker magazine keeps it clean on this one, using grey tones and purple accents on the upper, as well as adding some nice details on the heel and laces. The sneaker will release on October 1st.

For the 25th anniversary of Japanese retailer Oshman’s, they got together with Asics to reproduce the Gel Lyte Yeti. The shoes feature an easy on and off lacing system, which makes them especially interesting. They come in two colorways, each limited to 500 pairs worldwide and will release soon.

There’s been some recent chatter suggesting Red Wing will take a back seat to the likes of Diemme and their mountaineering contemporaries this season. If you’re hopping on the bandwagon, do it right – Italian label Diemme is the tits, and these oiled leather stompers are as good a make up as any.

This time they decided to go with a woven premium leather upper, which actually looks pretty nice. Rumors have been swirling for months regarding a collabo between Swizz Beatz and Christian Louboutin. Today we came across a first solo shot of the sneaker. “Swizzy showed up to Drake’s “Fancy” music video filming rocking these exclusive sneakers that he designed with Christian Louboutin. Aside from a joint sneaker collaboration, Swizz Beatz and Louboutin have also been working on a jacket collection together. No word if any of these will be available in store.
